The Transport Workers Union of America has secured a significant pay increase for Flight Dispatchers at PSA Airlines, represented by TWU Local 592. The contract extension, which amounts to a 15.5% pay rise, is designed to assist workers relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina.

The 2.5-year extension specifically addresses pay issues for Flight Dispatchers moving from Dayton, Ohio, as part of PSA’s announcement earlier in January about their relocation. This extension, which grants an immediate 11.5% salary increase, was ratified with more than 85 percent approval from the affected workers.

“We were able to quickly secure a major pay raise that addresses and goes beyond cost of living changes associated with the move from Dayton to Charlotte,” stated Brian Bourbeau, President of TWU Local 592. “We will return to the negotiating table to handle other issues but getting the pay raise was a major victory.”

The agreement also includes two additional 2% raises, retroactive to April 1. Andre Sutton, TWU Aviation Division Director, commented, “This deal makes PSA Flight Dispatchers the second highest paid in the industry for regional airlines. I’m pleased we were able to provide significant gains for Flight Dispatchers who had to make a life-changing move from Dayton to Charlotte.”
