120 radio operators and field service technicians at ARINC, a subsidiary of RTX/Raytheon, have approved a new three-year contract. The agreement promises over a 20 percent wage increase throughout its duration, alongside annual pension enhancements and improved health care benefits. It also introduces a wage scale that ensures all ARINC Teamsters can reach top pay levels. Workers will now be able to request personal days on more holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Dave Saucedo, Below-the-Wing Director of the Teamsters Airline Division and Chairman of the ARINC Teamsters National Negotiating Committee, remarked, “ARINC Teamsters keep passengers safe in some of the most isolating and dangerous environments in the air, and now they have a contract that accurately reflects the value of their work.”

ARINC Teamsters manage civilian and military air traffic control over international oceanic spaces and assist U.S. air traffic control in busy regions. Last November, they voted with 94 percent in favor to strike if negotiations did not result in a fair deal.

Genene Martinez, a 14-year radio operator at ARINC and Teamsters Local 986 shop steward stated, “This is the best contract I’ve seen in my 14 years at ARINC.” She emphasized the role of collective solidarity among Teamsters in achieving this outcome.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters was established in 1903 and represents over 1.3 million workers across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
