Seafarers and SIU pensioners are advised to review and update their beneficiary designations to ensure accuracy. Maintaining outdated information could lead to benefits being distributed to unintended individuals. This situation might occur if a designated beneficiary has deceased or a member or pensioner’s marital status has changed.

Updating beneficiary information can be done by contacting the SIU Member Assistance Program (MAP). They are reachable by phone at 1-(800) 252-4674, Option 2, or by email at [email protected] to acquire the necessary forms.
