The 52nd Daytime Emmy Awards were held on October 17, 2025, in Pasadena, California. The event included participation from SAG-AFTRA leadership, with Executive Vice President Linda Powell and former Los Angeles Local President Jodi Long attending both the ceremony and the Gold and Silver Awards Reception on October 16.

The Gold and Silver Awards recognize performers for their long-term service in television, honoring those with 50 or 25 years in the industry. This year’s recipients included Kate Linder, a former Los Angeles Local Board member known for her role as Esther Valentine on “The Young and the Restless.” Other honorees were James Reynolds from “Days of Our Lives,” Star Jones, and Jane Elliott from “General Hospital.”

During the awards broadcast, Powell and Long presented the Outstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series category. They highlighted SAG-AFTRA’s efforts to support daytime television performers through advocacy related to artificial intelligence, contract protections, wages, and health benefits.

“We want to make sure humans are always prioritized in this changing world so audiences can continue to enjoy the performers they know and love,” said Powell.

Long added: “Because working together makes us stronger. SAG-AFTRA is proud to play a role in improving the lives, the vitality and future of this community.”

The Daytime Emmys are organized by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
