Full-time career postal employees who opted for optional retirement or participated in the Voluntary Early Retirement (VER) under the Jan. 13, 2025, APWU-USPS One-Time Retirement Incentive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will receive payments. Part-time employees were also eligible for a prorated incentive as outlined in the MOU.

The incentive checks will be distributed to the employee’s last office. Retirees can pick up the check from the office or have it mailed to the address specified on the PS 3077-Request to Forward Salary Check form.

Employees participating in the incentive program need to complete this form, specifying the address for mailing their check, generally their final check or terminal leave, and submit it to their manager or supervisor. Once the check arrives, the manager will forward it to the address provided by the employee.

The MOU specifies: “Any employee who is eligible for these incentive payments will complete PS Form 3077, Request to Forward Salary Check, and submit to their employing office. The incentive payments will be distributed to the address provided by the employee.”
