Workers at Pollard Banknote have decided to join Teamsters Local 337, with a significant majority voting in favor. The group includes press operators, machine technicians and assistants, as well as folder operators and assistants. These workers are responsible for producing lottery tickets used by various states and countries.

Jeremy Helton, a maintenance technician with ten years of experience and a new member of Local 337, expressed the positive impact of joining the Teamsters. “Before this campaign, it seemed like the enthusiasm in our plant was hanging on by a thread. But joining the Teamsters lit a fire under us, and it’s been a breath of fresh air,” he said. “Being a Teamster means the world to my co-workers and me. We run this shop 24/7, and now we can work together to make sure we’re compensated fairly for it.”

The workers joined the union seeking strong representation to help them secure higher pay, better benefits, and improved working conditions through a ratified contract.

Todd Lince, President of Local 337, welcomed the new members enthusiastically. “Local 337 and I are thrilled to welcome 180 new brothers and sisters of Pollard Banknote into our union,” he stated. He also praised the efforts of organizers throughout the campaign.

Rocco Calo, Director of the Teamsters Industrial Trades Division, highlighted the advantages for workers in their industry who become Teamsters. “Workers at Pollard Banknote know that workers in their industry get more as Teamsters,” he said. Calo emphasized plans to continue organizing more workers in graphic communications, printing, and packaging sectors.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters has been representing workers since its founding in 1903 and currently represents 1.3 million people across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
