Amid ongoing federal policies and actions perceived as threats to freedoms, justice, and critical funding, the National Education Association (NEA) is urging its members and the wider community to resist these changes.

The NEA, which is the parent union of the Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association and represents over 3 million members, has initiated a campaign to raise awareness about protecting families from what it describes as increasing abductions of immigrants across the United States.

A video released by the NEA features “America the Beautiful” and portrays families as central to American life. It then shifts abruptly to depict Immigration Custom Enforcement (ICE) agents taking loved ones away. The NEA aims to generate widespread support for freedom, equality, and justice for all immigrants.
