The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) has expressed support for Don Moul’s new role as CEO of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The union anticipates continued partnership with TVA under Moul’s leadership, emphasizing a skilled workforce and enforcing apprenticeship ratios.
“The IUPAT congratulates Don Moul on his appointment as the new CEO of the Tennessee Valley Authority. We look forward to working with him to strengthen the partnership between the TVA and our members that work every day to power our communities. With Don’s strong commitment to maintaining a skilled workforce, enforcing apprenticeship ratios, and keeping our members working year-round, we are proud that the TVA continues to set the standard for labor-management cooperation,” the statement declared.
IUPAT commended the contributions of its members in District Councils 77, 58, and 91 to the TVA’s mission. The organization supports TVA’s efforts to satisfy the region’s energy needs while promoting union jobs. IUPAT is optimistic that Moul’s leadership will enhance these objectives.
“We are proud to support him and look forward to working with him and the TVA to continue to provide reliable power to millions across the Tennessee Valley,” IUPAT stated.
