The Idaho Education Association (IEA) is bringing back its Classroom Swap Shop event for a second year this June. This initiative offers educators a sustainable method to refresh their classroom supplies.

The event provides an opportunity for teachers to donate gently used classroom items and shop for free materials. This approach helps reduce waste and stretch budgets as the new school year approaches. IEA members are welcome to attend with a guest.

The Classroom Swap Shop will take place over two days at the IEA Headquarters, located at 620 N 6th St, Boise. Donations can be dropped off on June 13, while shopping will be open from 9 am to 4 pm on June 14. Available items include books, educational tools, games, classroom decor, fidgets, and more.

“This recycling initiative helps teachers stock their classrooms with quality materials at no cost while promoting sustainability in education — and it’s fun and free!” said an IEA spokesperson.
