Just before the start of the new school year, the Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association (HSTA) partnered with U.S. Rep. Jill Tokuda and ACLU Hawai’i to hold a Know Your Rights: Immigration Enforcement session for educators. This marks the second time these organizations have collaborated on this event.

The session was designed to give educators updated information and best practices in response to ongoing immigration enforcement efforts under the Trump Administration. The goal is to help teachers better protect students and their families who may be affected by immigration policies.
