The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) announced the passing of Marion “Mac” McMackin, a former secretary-treasurer of San Diego Branch 70 and a long-serving union activist. McMackin died on June 12, 2025, at the age of 76.

McMackin’s career as a letter carrier began in 1974. Over the years, he held various roles in service to his fellow carriers and was a committed advocate for the NALC.
