The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) has joined forces with the AFL-CIO and other unions to oppose the Trump administration’s attempt to revoke work authorization for immigrants who have complied with existing immigration laws.

Timothy J. Driscoll, president of the BAC, expressed concern about the impact on union members and employers. “This effort by the administration is unjust to those BAC members who have fulfilled all legal obligations to work in this country,” he stated. He further added, “It will cause unnecessary damage to BAC signatory contractors that employ these affected members, and lead to irreparable harm to many and varied communities across our country. BAC rejects this effort to pit worker against worker.”
