The American Maritime Partnership (AMP) has launched a new advertising campaign titled “Always Ready. Always Present.” The campaign aims to highlight the crucial role of American mariners and vessels in supporting national, homeland, and economic security.

The advertisement will be broadcast on cable television in Washington, D.C., and shared through digital channels. It is being conducted in collaboration with trade associations such as the American Waterways Operators and the Transportation Institute.

This initiative coincides with efforts by President Donald J. Trump and bipartisan leaders in Congress to bolster the U.S. shipbuilding and shipping industries.

“A secure America starts on our waters,” states the ad, emphasizing its central message: “Always ready. Always present.”

The Jones Act mandates that all vessels transporting goods within the United States must be American-owned, crewed, built, and flagged. The ad features footage from the El Coquí in Puerto Rico and various ports nationwide, showcasing real captains, crew members, and shipbuilders committed to prioritizing America.

Jennifer Carpenter, President of AMP, remarked on the significance of this campaign: “Our mariners are always on watch… This ad is a celebration of their service… We urge policymakers to continue to invest in American ships and American jobs to secure this great nation’s future.”

The campaign seeks to educate lawmakers, policymakers, and the public about the importance of the Jones Act and America’s domestic fleet.
