AGMA has announced the formation of a new caucus dedicated to vocal soloists, named the Solo Principal Artists (SPA) Caucus. This initiative aims to address the specific needs and challenges faced by solo principal artists within all signatory companies.

The SPA Caucus is designed to advocate for issues such as compensation structures, benefits, and pay schedules. It also seeks to foster peer mentorship and enhance the presence of soloists at bargaining tables. The caucus aims to empower soloists by building collective strength and solidarity with both each other and the broader AGMA community.

Participation in this caucus is open to AGMA Soloists who are in good standing. Those identifying as solo principal artists are encouraged to attend the kickoff meeting if they wish to contribute to shaping the caucus from its inception.

During the initial meeting, attendees can expect an introduction to the caucus’s goals, a discussion on priorities for future work, and an outline of how soloists can engage in leadership roles and initiatives within the caucus. The SPA Caucus emphasizes respectful dialogue, mutual support, and amplifying the voices of principal artists within AGMA’s democratic framework.

The organization looks forward to launching this initiative collectively and strengthening the foundation for solo principal artists within their union.
