AGMA has successfully ratified its first collective bargaining agreement with Little Island, a prominent outdoor stage in New York known for hosting over 110 performances across various artistic disciplines. The agreement was officially approved by AGMA leadership on April 28, 2025.

The contract includes several key provisions. In terms of compensation and benefits, the agreement covers work related to development, rehearsal, tech, and performance. Artists will receive wage or per diem payments upon arrival. The contract spans three seasons with wage increases of 2.75% and 3% in the second and third years respectively. Holiday pay is included for work on four designated holidays during the summer season, along with a 7.5% contribution to the AGMA Retirement Fund and cleaning fees for personal wardrobe use.

The agreement also addresses harassment and discrimination policies, ensuring no bias based on race, color, creed, sex, age, disability, national origin, nationality, gender identity or expression, reproductive health decision-making, pregnancy-related conditions or sexual orientation. Contractors and vendors are advised that violations may result in termination or non-reengagement. Efforts will be made to recruit and retain traditionally marginalized artists.

Work rules specify that schedules must be provided 12 hours in advance with a limit of two 10-hour tech days for performers and production staff. A rest span of 12 hours is required between shifts with overtime applicable after 52 hours.

Safety protocols include detailed guidelines for outdoor work such as cooling towels and ice packs. Compliance with safety standards based on scientific evidence is mandatory. Dressing rooms will accommodate all gender identities and intimacy expectations will be communicated in advance.

For media-related activities, negotiated compensation is outlined for commercial filming use with notice requirements specified for filming and streaming activities.
